#510... 3500 miles, Carlisle, MOPAR Nats, Woodward....

...and what a blast it has been

...like most of you, I waited for a long time for this car, and was it worth it, a big "HELL YES"

...I have quite a few other cars, rare collector cars, many with very few miles on them, so I decided I was going to drive the wheels off of my first new Challenger...at my age, the memories are far more valuable to me than any possible future collector value..

...I have let virtually everyone drive the car, passing on the thrill to many MOPAR fans, just to see their eyes light up....I have driven the car to the "Chryslers At Carlisle" show where it was displayed all weekend on the midway, driven it to the "MOPAR Nats" in Columbus Ohio where thousands more eyes soaked up my new slightly modified Challenger, and I just returned a few hours ago from 5 days at the "Woodward Dream Cruise" in Detroit....I would guess the car has been photographed at least a few thousand times in the 60 days I have owned it, probably that many at Woodward alone, but who knows.

...about 99.9% of the remarks I have overheard have been positive and most of the remarks are due to the Cragar S/S mags and the hood pins I installed on the car...those two little changes have made it stand out from the crowd of other new Challengers at Woodward...my initial idea was to take this Challenger back to 1970 with a few minor mods, nostalgic mods, to give it a flavor unlike any others out there yet....it has been a success beyond anything I ever imagined...it has been looked over by long time Chrysler people in Columbus and Detroit and all approved highly of the few little nostalgic mods I have made...I even had a chance meeting in the parking lot of the Chrylsler Museum with a guy from the design team of the ORIGINAL 1970 Challenger, I handed him the key, he took the new Challenger for a spin down Featherstone and came back with a BIG smile on his face...he loved it

...bottom line, I couldn't be happier with the car, everyone that sees it is in awe of the new Dodge Challenger SRT, and it seems like it may be a hit of major proportions for Chrysler...I sure hope so...

...now, I can't wait for that TorRed 6-spd 09 SRT....then the "SHAKER" hood, hood pins, Cragar S/S wheels, I'll start "backdating" that one too

.....................long live the "Big Black Dodge"

Cool pics and I love the mods. I tryed to buy one this weekend, but dealers are too greedy so I'll wait another couple of weeks.

That's a great car. Seems you've made it even more a head turner. I think it looks awsome!  :drool:I am so glad to hear you've been enjoying her. That's what it's all about. Who wants to buy one and put it under glass? :screwy:. Thanks for sharing and being a part of CC.com!! I don't know if you remember me, but I met you under the tent just a few weeks ago at Carlisle. It was a pleasure!! :2thumbs:

Way cool I am happy you are driving it like it should be driven!  :burnout:

One question is it as comfortable as a new charger or 300 on the road? (If you have ridden in one that is)

Thanks
