Christene! 1959 Plymouth Fury.
« on: August 18, 2008 - 05:26:03 AM »
Going to try and buy what I believe is a 59 plymouth fury that has been in a barn for at least 30 years that I know of. From what I can see its a two door and I dont think they made two doors until 59. I currently have a challenger project and a new baby so another project right now is out of the question, or at least thats what im told. I hate to see the car wasting away in there so would like to get it out and sell it to some one who would do something with it. I was wondering if there is much of a market for these cars. Are they still popular due to the movie. I dont think I have ever seen one on the street. I know theres not many around anymore.

If I can get in the barn to look at the car I will get some pics. I dont know who lives there and dont want to get shot.

Maybe just knock on the front door first  :dunno:

I don't think a B&E charge is worth it for a Fury pic......   T/A Challenger or hemicuda sure but not a Fury  ;)

Welcome!!

They made two doors at least as far back as 57 and I believe Christine was a 58 but cool find none the less. Not very popular even with the movie.

I like those cars too. We just recently imported one 1959 dodge custom royal 4dr sedan and it just looks good. Of course the muscle cars look better, but for finned car, it isn't bad.

My dad had one of these.  Not sure i would want one.  Would rather have some of his other cars for sure.  He had some nice ones.  62 300 would be the best one to have.

Christine was a '58 Sport Fury, not a '59.

Here's one that was at the Mr. Norm show in Volo:

Christine is indeed a '58.

'59 is simlilar, but not quite the same.

Personally, I always thought the '58 Coronet was the meanest looking.
