got a pop in my exhaust
« on: August 18, 2008 - 03:57:19 PM »
Have gotten a pop pop pop sound in my drivers side exhaust. Sounds almost like its in tune with the firing. Running 3" pipes into flowmaster two chamber mufflers on both sides without an h pipe. The sound wasn't there when I put the exhaust on years ago.Started a couple of years ago. Car doesn't go out much! Has a muffler gone through its life span? I had a set of exhaust tips (3") made for the car by a client of mine, again years ago, but they don't seem to constrict the flow. I haven't dropped the pipes to see if its coming through the headers as such either. ???????????
thx in advance

It sounds like maybe you have an exhaust leak on that side. It could be anywhere from engine on back. I wish I could be of more help.
