That looks like it was a very nice car but did you see the value they placed on it?

I wouldn't ind starting with that damage, but it would be less than half of what they think it's worth.

Vin listed says it is a h code car but the door tag reads a c in the motor dept. Looks like a good one to stay away from.

That's not that big of a deal.  You can get a repro door sticker.  The main numbers to be concerned about are the VIN tag, cowl, and rad support numbers.   That being said, I am sure the VIN will be garbage anyways since it will more be a salvage title and in order to get it back on the road, some states would issue a state issued VIN nullifying the factory VIN.

I like it!! The 57k is the appraised insured value. The insurance company probably paid that to the owner. They will have a reserve price on it, but it won't be 57k. Too bad it got wet, and by the looks of the speedometer it got REALLY wet.

For that kind of $ a person could buy that beautiful black on black GTX, with build sheet, invoice etc. instead of a "water damaged" hunk of rusty metal

:roflsmiley: not hinting at anything are we.

personally, if it were mine, i think i would have kept it and rebuilt. but mine might have more sentimental value than theirs, i mean, come on, Alan worked on mine  :smilielol:
