what is the closest wheel you can buy that looks like a 450 wheel ,but without the 450 pricetag ?

450 was the last 3 digits of the wheel code for steel wheels for hemi cars i think for 1970 and 1971 , so they are known as 450 wheels  and they are obviously rare and expensive as anything to do with a hemi is, want to know whats the closest match i think people are using earlier made 15 x 7 wheels that are similar , or is somebody making a repro wheel thats closer ? i am wanting to buy a set

I looked for a set of 450 wheels for over ten years and finally gave up. I am using cop wheels with rallye center caps without trim rings myself.

You can find 15x7 steel wheels that take the dog dish cap and trim ring on some C-Bodies, some 1/2 ton Dodge pick ups & vans. They do look a little different, but most folks will not notice.

i have been offered some 450 wheels but they are not cheap , why are they so rare if they were on lots of cars i wonder

Well......

Because they were the bottom of the line for 15" wheels at the time. Cars with the plain steel wheels were cheaper than those with Rallye wheels, so
people that wanted to add aftermarket rims often tossed the original plain wheels in the trash.

They were not rare at the time, but they are very hard to find now.
