The templates from FPAP mentioned above are for marking the cutouts in the underskin.

This is where the 4 clips go - on a T/A, two on each side. AARs are simlilar;

Look close at the second photo Confederate Cuda posted as well. See the screws? They pass through the outer edge of the decklid into the four clips mounted in the spoiler tips.

Ahhh, so the screws actually go through the deck lid and are therefore what "secures" the spoiler to the car so you can't just come by and pop it off the T-bolts....

I'm going to mock up the spoiler and see if I can figure it out.  Thanks Alaskan!

Tim,
My deck lid is a 70-71 which had these cutouts from the factory. If you have a later style deck lid you will have to cut these out yourself. The T bolt will lock into the spoiler and then you will have to drill holes in the deck lid for the bolt to go through and the cone shaped nut will secure it to the deck lid. Just as Barrys picture shows the clips are for the outside screws that go through the deck lid and into the clip that is mount on the spoiler. Good Luck

Gents- your pictures have made it clear.  I understand completely.  My spoiler does indeed have the 2-on-each-end rectangular cut-outs, which is where the clips go.  You guys have been very patient, thanks very much.  I'll post a pic or 2 when I get it on.  Thanks again fellas.      :worshippy :worshippy

Although 8 holes to drill in a deck lid does seem a bit excessive (4 for the clips, 4 for the T-bolts).  I cringe at drilling holes in the body.  Must be all that high MOPAR speed requires it.

Hi All .. can anyone repost the pics re: TA duck tail spoiler install? I understand how the hardware works but looking
for correct placment. I'm thinking I will try and make my own transparent mount template for correct hole placement
from top of deck lid. THANX!
