Difference in E and B body rear seat
« on: August 19, 2008 - 03:04:15 PM »
How much difference is there in E-body and 71-74 B-body rear seats. Will the B-body rear fit into an E-body. I am wanting to do some custom work to my Challenger seat, but don't wanna screw up my good original.

I have tried it but it won't work, the 71-74 b-body seat is too big to fit in an e-body. :faint:

It might be possible, but I cant remember and I think the design of the springs in the back was different, I think the b-body springs were bigger and further apart than the e-body seat springs.

What I was wanting to do was take a rear seat, and fabricate a speaker box in the center. I may have to find an extra core rear seat. I could do it with the one I have, but it is in decent shape. I just mainly wanted to keep a good spare around, just incase I ever wanted to put the regular rear seat back in (or if I ever sold the car).
