On August 23rd, 2008 SouthBay Mopar and Chrysler Performance West are hosting the 3rd annual Mopar Invasion, a drop in style show and shine show at Ricky & Ronnie's Restaurant at 1301 Sepulveda Blvd, Torrance CA from 4:30 PM until 8:30 PM.

Would be a great oppurtunity for Cuda-Challenger.com members to meat each other in person.

There is no charge to bring your car and plenty of secure parking. The restaurant is open to anyone wanting to buy a meal or dessert.

I think we could hit 100 Mopars this year. This is a real cool event for some basic reasons:

-costs nothing
-can go in and out and any time
-super unique and neat 50's Cruise In diner
-good food and great malts
-great cool Torrance weather that always gets a cool sea breeze in the afternoon.
-kick back relaxed atmosphere
-costs nothing

What looks like a the resturant in the above picture is actually the second resturant opened for big Cruise In's and party rentals. It has a limited menu and all the deserts. There is a whole other full resturant only about 75 feet away!!

Come on So Cal guys!! This is a cool place just to check out. Response??

Bump! This is in 5 hours guys!!

You guys please don't be intimidated on bringing a car. It's fun to show your projects. The Mopar community is very helpfull also.

This car was at Ricky and Ronnies cruise in last year. It's in primer and doesn't have a grille!! It's all good !!

At one Spring Fling there was a picture of a beat 72 Coronet jump starting the Blake orange on orange 71 Hemi Cuda convertible. It was like a $400 car jump starting a 4 million dollar car. Classic !!

At Fall Fling we don't have any judged classes. It's a Show and Shine that we encourage projects and daily drivers to attend!!

There was a yellow 340 4spd Dart Swinger from Indio, yellow 70 RR from Riverside, and a dark green 73 Challenger from Riverside.

We had 75+ cars. Pictures to follow. Lots of E-bodies and a couple a new Challengers....

So Bay Mopars hosted a fantastic event.  This event grew about 50% from last year (50 vs. 75+ Mopars)!! 


Next year it looks like we'll have to reserve the other side of Ricky and Ronnies for more room. We were at our limits.
