There are unconfirmed rumours that the 72-74 is not a real muscle car.

No such thing, just a myth and a pretty lame one at that. An E-Body is sort after and priceless IMO.
I think you'll find that there are just as much 72-74 style cars here, maybe more.  ;)

Will someone beat me up if I get a /6? :smilielol: No Stroker yer car is fast...   Mine ain't slow either bro.!  There's tons of 318 cars out there. :dunno:

This site looks filled with 70-71 models.
Is there a reason that 72-74 is not represented as mush?

There are unconfirmed rumours that the 72-74 is not a real muscle car. Is that te reason or are there just less survivors, and is the later model rare?

Just wondering. Thanks.

Here is my 1973 and my 1970 vert.  Although I respect the opinion of all I disagree that the 72-74 is not a real Muscle Car.  I also disagree that the 72-74 are not well represented on this site.  Look around.  I amsure you will find each year well represented.  Lets show him guys!

Personally I'm a B-Bod kind of guy, mainly, well that's what I like and boy oh boy are they much more comfortable to drive. And my 440+6 B-Bod can pull the front tires if ya want too. We have a beautiful E-Bod because my lil honey wanted one and it was built and done just the way she wanted it. As far as the term "Muscle car" is concerned I don't think it was used when these cars were new. However any Mopar with the factory (that's an important factor) street hemi or any version of the 440 would have to be considered a muscle car. And it's not the fault of the 72 and newer model owners that the BB was not an option, so some of us just did what Ma Mopar didn't do. And I know there are some versions of the so called small blocks that can, has, and will beat a factory street hemi going down the 1/4, but they are not "exactly" built to stock specs.

So,.............to the originator of this thread................and your point is ?. Like all of us, you have a personal preference of body styles and mental image of what "Muscle car" means. I love the round tail lights, bust at last I do not own any, but if I could..............it would be a 68 Charger with a street hemi, that would make this ole fart peak to a climax, oh well, I can still dream about my fantacy car.  BTW, just wait until my lil 71 Dart has that wild built 440 dual quad installed................I wonder what you'd call that ?  :roflsmiley:

i like them all myself ,but around here we have many cuda boos or malibu tail light cars .i think the only e body i dont like is the 71 cuda .but mopar didnt like it eather nothing went over to the next year 72 - 4 cars look more like the 70 .it was mopars edsel but rare sells .the challengers were all good except for the buggy bumpers but we can blame nader for that .and i also agree with others theres many later cars here cheers to all e bodys .c

I think the real appeal of the '71 Cuda over the other E-body cudas, particularly at auctions where they bring much more $$$ is that thier grille doesn't resemble the 1st gen Camaro as much. They are a one year only very unique looking vehicle with that, the gilled fenders and those neat parking lights with the Chrysler emblems. A grand slam styling homerun that was the pinnical of all the Pony cars in the opinions of most. That and the engine selection that didn't exsist in the later years and I don't see any of the old E-bodies ever replacing them on the most sought-after list. They can't ever be mistaken for anything but what they are. And I say and believe that owning a Challenger.
