    Really?  I have only heard that sometimes the soda doesn't quite get all of the paint and stuff off.

    Well my husband soda blasts cars and it is for taking off paint and not for body work mud to come out you need to sand that or sandblast it.But doing the soda blast really does make a difference and i recommend it.

    Personnally, I would not recommend it.  Topcat linked to my earlier post that outlined the problems I  had.  Even after paint and body work was finished, I was finding a "soda paste" in the doors and on window linkage that I couldn't remove earlier. The paste happens when the soda gets wet from humidity or water from rain/washing.  I think soda blasting would be good for individual parts that are off the unibody that are easily cleaned and rinsed, but it is alot more work than media blasting.  I highly recommend NOT using it to blast your engine unless you do a total tear down and rebuilt.  Soda will get in your block no matter how good you seal the ports, etc.   :2cents:
