Pedal not returning
« on: August 21, 2008 - 11:09:57 PM »
I had installed new lines, mc, booster, everything. I have good brakes power but the pedal does not go all the way back up. It seems like it's stopping the car until I put my foot behind the brake pedal and pull it foward. Once I do that, it will stay there until I push the brake again and I do it all over again. Any clues?

My first thought also. Make sure there's nothing interfering with the movement of the linkage.  Disconnect the linkage and make sure the pedal moves smoothly back and forth.

At worst, it could be bad a bad spring in the master cylinder.

Thanks, I'll check it out. Hopefully it's a simple fix.

If it is not any of the above solutions:
I spent days trying to solve the same problem. Turned out to be a missing spacer plate  that goes between the cowl and the rear of the booster.  good luck.  :burnout:
