bumping under car transmision mount
« on: August 24, 2008 - 11:40:20 AM »
Starting to notice a bumping under the console. Probably the trans mount. Can the rubber bushing be changed or does the whole mount have to be changed? Is this something I can get from a major supplier? thanks   :working:

Check your front U-joint while you are under there.

i've heard the inserts are a pain to swap out, the couple i've changed, i just spent the couple bucks and got the entire mount. Less headaches.

Couldn't agree more, it is a major pain to remove the old rubber.  Just buy the whole mount, money well spent!

I put the poly mount in, now that was tight.LOL

There wasn't much of the rubber left to get out.

I would think if one were to run a poly trans mount, you would want poly engine mounts? I wouldnt think you would want to mix it up?? hope im not hijacking, i just figured it would be a good post to talk about this in....  :swaying:
