    Hi,
     I meet one of your members (Fantum) last night at the Old Town Cruise in Kissimmee.  He told me about your web site.  So I came by and joined.

     I have owned three cudas.  The current one is a 1970 440-6 car and it is Panther Pink, picture is attached.  I also own an all originial 1970 AA/FC (Top Fuel Funny Car) which I am restoring. It has a blown 426 hemi and has a 1975 Monza body on it.  I am also a crew member on a competitive TA/FC http://www.ghostriderc5.com/photo6_1.html.  I have been ASE certified as a Master Engine Machinist as well. I retired from the US Coast Guard after 27 years of service too.

    Welcome Rick  :wave:.....nice ride....I live in Orlando and was supposed to be at that show last night but I had to watch my 3 kids while my wife had to work......welcome aboard and I'm sure we'll meet sometime.... :2thumbs:

    Welcome to the site.  It's great to have another expert to add to our stockpile of knowledge.  Nice looking Cuda.  Any more photos?

    Even if it's got a Chevy body on it, we'd love to see some pics of your Funny Car.

    Very nice!!! Looks like it can get the job done too. Is that 7.38 on the window your 1/8 mile time?? Any more info on your Cuda?? Welcome to the site!!! :2thumbs:

     Yes, that is the 1/8th mile.  The best time for the 1/8 was a 7.27 @ 94 mph and the 1/4 was 11.40 @ 122 mph in that configuration. That was with a 248 @ .050 and .540 lift cam and box stock E-Heads, 727, 3.91 gears and a full (to the tips at the back of the car) 2 1/2 exhuast system.  The weight is 3800 with me in it.  Since then I have ported the heads and changed the cam.  I haven't had a good test run yet though.  I took it out once and the track didn't have any bite and I still ran a 7.36 @ 99.6 MPH.  That was with a 1.86 60' time.  The car is normally in the low 1.60's and with the new stuff it should be in the high 1.50's with traction.

    99.6mph is awesome!!. That should get you easily into the 6s (Mid to high 10s in the quarter)!!! Your previous set up ran almost identical to the way my car runs which was 7.26 @ 95mph!  :2thumbs: :cheers:
