A Mopar Gentleman
« on: June 02, 2002 - 05:46:40 PM »
;) My wife and I met this ole guy a few years ago at a car show, honestly I don't recall his name, everybody just calls him "Grandpa", and believe me we do it out of respect, he is one fine Mopar Gentlemen! Yesterday we crossed paths again (as we often do) at another car show. And although very quiet and having few words he seemed exceptionally talkative. He said he was just feeling too old to care for his car like he always has, the miles alone, the heat, and the general expense was just becoming too much for him. He is seriously considering selling his "baby". He's the second owner, the car has NEVER been touched except for the routine maintainance. A 383 under the hood, with documentation and certicard. You could just tell it was a hard decesion for him to make, He and his car are both special!

I dunno, Neil.  If I sell my car and lose my friends, then they obviously were never my real friends...

I mean, Stroker was going to sell his car and what was the first thing we all told him?  "Don't leave!  Stick around!  We'll miss you!"

You guys can all keep talking about getting old.  I'm 29 years young!  I'll be driving 'em like I stole 'em for years to come.  And I'll be visiting you in your nursing homes, because you're all my friends, Mopars or not!

I have found on this site especialy that we seem to be a family willing to help each other freely. When we move on to heavenly places who knows GOD may have a MOPAR or two for us to play with. In my case my son, daughter and son in law all want my Challenger, that is something I will have to deal with before I move on.
