new to the family
« on: August 25, 2008 - 09:23:23 PM »
I was sick of going to shows just to look, so I bought this, a 1973 Plymouth Fury III.  Original, unrestored, the only things that are changed are the wheels, the rear end and I put some fancy chrome valve covers on it the first week I had it. There are a few dings and scratches, but for a 35 year old car it is in great shape.  Hope you enjoy.

That is just like the one my parents had, except theirs was green.

We took a lot of road trips in that car, with 4 kids and 2 adults we still had plenty of room left.  Great find!

It does ride great, we took some pretty bumpy railroad tracks the other day and my wife was bracing for the impact, but never got it.  She was so use to getting thrown around in her brand new Jeep Patriot, but you couldn't even feel the tracks in this thing.

That's way cool.  If I had space, I'd definitely pick up an old C-body to cruise around in.  I like this one I found on Craigslist.

Beautiful.  I still hope to have a nice C-body someday.  Our car growing up was a '69 Custom Suburban  (Fury wagon)

360 2bbl, but I have an intake for a 4bbl tho.  I have a 600 cfm 4bbl carb, but it doesnt fit the intake, so I'm going to find one that does fit.  I'll try to get pics of the engine and interior soon.
