Vacuum Leak vs Idle Quality
« on: September 01, 2008 - 01:13:39 AM »
Heres the deal.  My vacuum brake booster is hissing vacuum constantly.  More so when the brake pedal is depressed.

Will this cause a rougher than normal engine idle and will it also affect MPG's?

Yes, I will replace it, but until I do, this is what I'm dealing with.

No, I do not drive my 'Cuda too often with my dying booster.  I know safety comes first.

the engine will run rough + the booster is generally connected to 6& 7 runner so those cylinders will run lean or misfire , this will lose power & MPG
