Time to get back on my projects after taking a hiatus
« on: September 01, 2008 - 11:12:36 AM »
I havent been on here much in the past year. I thought i needed a break from the endless grind and my anal-ness of restoring my 70gc and 69 bee. The GC is all painted, just need to spend endless hours putting her all back together. If some of you remember i bought a Honda VTX1800 Retro end of last year and have been doing countless mods and customizing. I have bought all the things i could find to put on her, lol. I also have been doing some remodeling on my home, which has taken a lot of time as well. I'm ready to get back on my projects. This weekend I got a wild hair and started the trunk floor replacement on my Bee. I have to say its much easier this time around(did my GC) since i have a plasma cutter i didnt have when i did my GC. I'm back in the saddle to work on my projects all winter and see what i get done. Hopefully by spring the GC will be on the road but we will see,I have other home/ranch proijects to do to but am commited into putting a big dent in the projects this winter. I have to say this is the nicest board of people anywhere, Ive been on a board with vtx riders and it isnt nearly as friendly. Glad to be back
Here a pic of my bike after the mods

Sharp machine. Bet it takes some time to keep her clean also. I'm running a street legal XR600 on the canyon roads around here. No Chrome to worry about.  :grinno:

Just had to ask, how does that front door in the second picture there work? Never seen anything like it. :sly:

Glad to see you back, sweet bike.

Maybe there is just a problem with the picture on the front door?

You have no idea about the cleaning ,lol. Probably why it s year old(I bought an NOS 06 bike in late o7) and only has 400 miles on it,lol. My road is 1.5 miles of gravel/dirt before hitting pavement. Whenever i take it out it take a few hours every time to clean. I wouldn't give up where i live for anything, but it does have its disadvantages. All my vehicles are a mess in short order. And i like working on stuff more than driving it, but as its starting to get cooler here now(usually over 100 in the summer) I'll be riding her more.

Am I the only one that noticed the strange vortex or worm hole by your screen door. If it goes back to the seventies can I use it to get a cheap challenger? All kidding aside; thats a nice bike.

You keep the rifle at the front door to ward off people who say bad things about your door?   :poopoke:   Or are you about to go get something for the cook out?   :stirpot:

LOL i didnt even notice the rifle
Its actually a daisy BB gun, I wouldn't keep my rifles laying around like that, although I can shoot right out my front door where i live, lol
The BB gun is to shoot my cows in the butt when they wont do what i want, harmless but affective.

I see the wormhole too - on the left side of the screen door.
