I prefer the 17" wheels over the 15" because I like the look of more wheel and less side wall and the 17" offer improved handling.

I'm the opposite. I like more rubber. With 15" wheels, I can just about put anything under there without having to do mods.

I'm curious Tom, what is your wheel diameter with what you have on there now?

Tough choice.  I like both but in this case, I think the 15" TQ's look better due to the color contrast

The 17's have a 26.1" diameter and the 15's have a 29" diameter :eek7:  They are 255/70/15s I got them with the car when I bought it.  I am planning on getting some Drag radials to fit these rims for strip trips.  Looking at some 255/60/15s a 27" tire.

Tom

The 29's would help cut the rpms down on the freeway though. :D

I voted 17's   But I like them both.  17's got me bigger brakes, better tires. The 15's give it a "stuffed" look. The 17's fit real nice. Mayby those big black 5 spokes Goody went with... Mustang wheels?  Would blend the two styles. :dunno:    The chrome 17's are alittle "blingy" for me.    Whatcha' gonna' do  ?   :bricks1:

I like the bigger 17/18 wheel look on our cars, however to be honest. I'm not a huge fan of the chrome 17s that are on your car, just not quite my style. I think the 15s fit the car better, but some different style 17/18s can also work well.

Since it seems like you are concerned with tire height, my 18s total diameter is 28.5". So I wouldn't say you can't have a tall tire with a larger rim, just have to size it right (295/45/18). Tall/Fat tires on bigger wheels can look awesome

Can try on some Bullitts if you ride to Florida!! Definitely enough tire height here

:iagree:  I feel the 17's still provide enough sidewall to look good.

I like the 17's. Not a big fan of chrome myself, but the tire/brake options and handling improvement of the shorter sidewalls is the selling point for me.

:iagree: The grey and burnished torq thrusts in 17 inch would work, I think. The big bright chrome wheels are just too blingy-blingy for me.

Tell me how you feel Carl.LOL

I have the 15's on for now, I kind of miss them.  They do soften the ride considerably, but still go up in smoke with ease.  I'm ordering some 15" drag radials this week for a return trip to the strip.  The 15's are much lighter than the 17s even with that monster truck tire in the back.LOL

Keep the opinions coming folks.
