New to Mopars...
« on: September 02, 2008 - 04:00:50 PM »
This is My 73 barracuda that I bought as an unfinished project.  It was one of those "lost interest" deals.  It's mostly done except for the motor (440), ignition and other small items.  I've already been searching your forums for usefull information and I've found quite a bit.

Hey, Kleaver, that's a nice looking car. Are you going to race it, mod it or put it back to stock?

The car came with alot of "go fast goodies"...so, I think I'm going to continue with that route.  The motor has Indy cylinder heads and intake, a big comp cam, TTI headers with 3" X-pipe to flowmaster mufflers then 3" pipe to the stock tips, Msd ignition (in box), a electric fuel system (in box), A battery relocation kit (in box).
Right now I'm waiting on the pushrods to be cut and the tips pressed in.  Once those are done I can put the motor together and put it in the car.  I wouldn't mind having a stock barracuda, but so much has been done to the car already, it's hard to turn back.  Plus...it's a non-number's matching car...the motor (bottom end) and tranny are out of a pickup I believe.
As far a racing it,  I don't know.  I'll probably run it down the track a few times to get some numbers, but mostly it's going to be a street cruiser.

Thanks for the comments guys.  I'm gonna move this over to the restoration forums.  Even though it's pretty much done.  I don't want a moderator getting mad at me for using the newbie section for discussion.
