Can you get a slightly shorter airfilter or a lower drop base?

I like it. Not being "original" doesn't bother me at all. People have six pack hoods on Challengers and I don't think they ever came with one.

Looks good, you may as well just get the one thats out there.  Probably get it faster than a custom job on yours.  But either way it's pretty radiacal being so tall, matches your tough street car look.

I like the hood, but I would have kept the angle in the opening. The modified one looks like it is a straight up and down face on the scoop opening. That might be what is making you hesitate. The one minor change will bring it together, and make it look less cartoony, and more like just a badass Challenger. But, this is coming from a guy with a big, ugly wing on his car.

I like it... Mean looking. Reminds me of the carbon AAR hood MCR makes. Taller,Deeper.  Mayby customize the straight lines on the edges of the scoops to slope rearward slightly.  Just a grind job,And might soften the look. Some mesh mayby too. :dunno:

It's OK but the sugestion to put the angle back back in the scoop opening is a great idea

(it's a little Hoover the way it is now)

Why are there 10 votes against but only a couple of negative posts explaining why?

I'll bet it traps more air than the stock T/A scoop does. They are kinda small at the opening. The whole idea is looks AND function, right? Add to that being a little different and I like it.  Raking the opening a bit sounds like a great idea too. A couple minutes with a sander will take care of that.

It does not tickle my fancy but like Don said, it is what YOU like. For some crazy reason I have never been a fan of putting non original hoods on other cars. Seeing a shaker on a 72-74 car seems odd. Seeing a T/A hood on something other than a T/A looks odd to me. No real reason as to why, just one of the things that makes me......me.

I like it. I don't worry about originality, prefer something modified.

Still not my thing, but I think that what some of the others suggested about raking it back some might make it work for me.
