New toy
« on: September 05, 2008 - 07:16:36 AM »
Just bought this car, nephew found it for me, havent seen it yet he put it up in his garage till I can get down there. It's a numbers matching 383 2/ barrel 727 auto, buckets console car. Original interior, paint, yada yada. Had the right front fender replaced due to a fender bender in the driveway. Thinking of going black with red tail stripe. Will post better p[ics of whole car when it stops raining and he can get it outside. :2thumbs:
opps guess telling you it is a grenn 1969 Coronet 500 convertible would make since lol

I think it was fair, i paid what they asked for it, 5500 running driving needs paint, left front fender is primer, lights and all trim are there and work, bezels look great and one small hole about an inch long in the center of the trunk where a piece of bathroom tile was laying. floor pans frame are mint, the exhaust is bad shape but it is the factory pipes and hangers. I have always wanted a 69 r/t drop top, so this is close as I can afford lol. That is why I was thinking black with red butt stripe but not going to take the 383 out of it just because it matches. Any other color options for black gut and top car? Have a red Roadrunner so red is out. Blue with black stripe is my second choice, but green still a thought.

What a great find and a super price for a vert in what appears to be great shape. I would love to see more pics!! And how about Top Bannana Yellow or Lemon Twist with the black stripe??? I saw a Yellow Coronet R/T at a show just a few weeks ago and it looked totally awesome!! Good luck with the car. I am waiting to see more of it!! :picture: :droolingbounce:
