where do transmission to engine braces go??

I have always added them with headers IF they will clear or if they can be clearanced to fit around the headers

I will check this evening to see if the ycan be clearanced to work with my Dougs headers.....

But I aint taking the headers againoff to do it!     It wasnt that bad, really, but I dont want to tinker with them anymore unless I have to.....

If this is a small block,
Opposite the starter, (passenger side) just below  the 9'o-clock bolt on the trans. it will go reight below the oil filter.
This might be an evil job with the headers on..
I'll post a pic later.

Well, I tried this evening and on my car at least, the brace wants to go directly thru the header tubes....no way they will fit even with clearancing, far a I can see.....
