I was just curious if any of you had heard about this car being found?

Wow
5 million dollar car stolen in 1993 and the owner refused to settle with insurance because he thought the car would eventually be found!
Would you wait 15 years hoping your car would show back up?

Problem is, is that it is a super rare car.  Just like the 93 Blue Iroc R/T that was stolen (1 of 8 ), there is no way you can do anything with it, without someone realizing what it is.  I was reading that the owner always thought, because it was so rare, that it would turn up someday. Turned out he was right.  I feel bad for the owner (whom it just got taken from).  He payed over a million for it and he did nothing wrong. I had a friend who bought a 77 Pontiac Can-Am.  He sunk a ton of money into it and then he went to register it and found out it was stolen.  He spent a couple years in court over this and luckily for him, the original owner never came forward, so he got to keep it.  Sucks for the innocent buyers who get duped.  Damian.

Agree very rare! With only 40 built this one #16 even the series 2 that came after only a couple hundred built

Only the 250 California Spyder is valued higher than this 250PF...a Spyder went for $10 million at an auction...

The value has been said 5 million...some dispute and say 2.5 either way I don't think insurance would pay out as much as what it would take to replace the car...if he could even replace it

Wonder if the original owner always had the car on his mind...and sad news for the current owner...but I think being he is a enthusiast he would understand fully and place himself in the owner's shoes...he would want to get his car back too...

Wonder what the reward is
