Saying Goodbye To My Dog
« on: September 07, 2008 - 12:42:50 AM »
Today I lost my old and gentle friend of 13 years, my dog.  It was a very hard and emotional decision that had to be made.  But, at least now I know he's resting in peace and free from pain.   I'll miss you Ruddi.

I am sorry to hear that. Hard thing to do but if the animal was in pain it was the right thing to do.

Sorry to hear of your loss! Pets are such special friends. It's a difficult time when these decisions have to be made. Pain and discomfort is a dreadful thing.

HooD, I had to make the same decision about 3 1/2 months ago. Just try to remember the good life he had with you. They are the best friends to ever have.

Very sorry to hear about your loss. I lost a dog 4 months ago and am not ashamed to say I cried like a baby girl. Never thought I would get that attatched to an animal, but I did.

To some who have never had a family pet it may seem weird to mourn the loss of an animal.  But for people like us who have had pets in the family for years their loss is very painful.  Hang in there!  I bet your family gave him a wonderful life.

Sorry to hear it, stay strong.

My family has always had animals and it is tough to see them go.

Sorry to hear about that Hood. I just about lost my 12 year old dog last weekend, having fits, going stiff and fainting, nothing but the eyes could move. Spent 48 hours in pet vet and we now believe it was some type of poison. He was lucky to come home and a major shock to get the call to collect home. He's still only 85%. Coming close to losing him and losing faith was very sad so I feel for you mate. Keep the head up and think only of the good times bud.
