I find it interesting that the Cuda wasn't made after 1974. They did do a second generation Challenger that ran from 1978-83, with a Mitsubishi(bad spelling alert) engine. I know the Plymouth name isn't around anymore, but they brought back the Challenger again for the third time. Food for thought.  Maybe they were just trying to even the score since there were 3 generations of Cudas?   :dunno:

Didn't Cudas cost more base price than a Challenger? I think they were 3-400 more.

If its true, then theres a saying that kinda goes...
Pay the little something extra to get the better item.

Honestly, I wouldn't turn my back on one ever. I'd like to own one of each.
But I think Cuda sounds cooler than saying Challenger. Has a nice ring to it.

Challengers are much more sophisticated than the Cuda.

The Cuda was for the common man while the Challenger was much more stylish and appealed to the more refined taste.

Anybody can own a car but few can obtain a Challenger

Cudas should be put on the back of milk cartons:

"Missing - Side Body Accent Lines: Missing Since 1970. Reward - Challenger R/T (or 3 'Cudas)".

There wouldn't be a Challenger without a 'cuda.  :grinno: Nope.    I like the simpler lines of the 'cudas. The smoother profile.

THEY JUST LOOK BETTER  :dunno:

The 'cuda is the Challengers big bada$$ brother. That will come over and  :horse:

It was my friend's 1970 Challenger that got me interested in Mopars and E-bodys back in '71.  I own a 'Cuda, but I deeply respect any and all Challengers.  I will not take sides on this one.  They are equals in my opinion.

On the New Zealand Mopar forum we have Cardinal Moparious from the church of the Sacred Pentastar who provides spiritual guidance in matters of Mopar ownership. He said all Mopars are created equal and to place one higher than another is a sin. Still like challengers more than 'Cudas so I'm probably going to hell  also did Kowalski drive a 'Cuda? I think not!

This is all just personal preference.  I have owned both and they are both amazing cars. However, the only reason why I got a challenger at that time was because I couldn't find/get a 'Cuda. I personally feel like the 'Cuda is a more novelty/badass e-body, whereas the challenger is a more common/well known muscle car. Basically I'd Put the 'Cuda up there with cars like Boss 429s which you never see, ever, and Challengers with Shelby Mustangs which are more common and more well known by people outside of the muscle car club. All in all, both amazing cars, but the 'Cuda has its own place in automotive history as the quintessential muscle car. There's a reason why Cuda's with the same drivetrain and options typically sell for more $ than Challengers.
