OK.  I must confess.  Big Block Mopar 4 speed.  The rest doesn't really matter.
I may be schizophrenic,

Cuda:
3-400 lbs. lighter than Challenger. Like having an overweight person in your car all the time.

Need I say more.  :stirpot:

The only reason that the Germans purchased Chrysler was to never allow that ugly Cuda to be re hatched.  :villagers:

Offset by the sloppy aerodynamics of the rather stubby Barracuda.  The extra length of the Challenger, working with its far smoother lines, more than makes up for the slight weight difference.  That silly angle along the rear side window causes measurable turbulence at speed.  The gap between the header panel and the front of the hood also contributes to the aerodynamic sloppiness, as well as reducing ram airflow into the scoops (assuming the hood is so equipped), negating part of the cool-air benefit and costing power.

Its entirely possible the lighter 'Cuda will get off the line a smidgeon quicker, but the Challenger will quickly overtake it as the Plymouth plows into its own wind shear and pressure waves.

That said I'd take a 'Cuda over anything _but_ a Challenger.  There is no shame in being second best to a car so perfect as the Dodge Challenger.

I didn't mean for it to be taken away, just making an observation, the thread just stopped after that and it caught my attention and thought it a bit funny.

On another note us Challenger guys(and gals) really do have a high moral standard unlike you Cuda guys  :stirpot:

Lets just use simple logic here.

More challengers were made than Cudas, that means more people were interested in challengers than cudas. If the car was worse than a cuda, then more people woulda opted for the cuda and more cudas would have been made.

Case Closed. :icon16:

Too true, but which cars sell for more $$$ now.....besides, the Tall Man like the 71 'Cuda....hence the reason he was always chasing those 2 guys during the Phantasm movies.... :smilielol:
