Chilly Challenger painted - need more help!!!
« on: September 08, 2008 - 12:12:04 AM »
Well after nearly 18 months, I finally got the paint on! While I'm not thrilled at the off-white, it is the original color. Now I need some input - should the Vinyl roof go back on? Should the bumpers and sport-mirrors be re-chromed, or body-colored?? Opinions welcome.

Looks good , if it was mine I would keep the vinyl top off and maybe add some stripes to the car and rechrome the bumpers

I would not put a vinyl top.  If you want, you could paint the top and still use all of the original trim, I really like that setup.  I also prefer chrome mirrors and bumpers.

I think it will look great with the vinyl top, chrome mirrors and chrome bumpers.

Awesome.  I'd put a white top on it, and put a red or blue interior in it, that would be slick!

I felt the same way about my white car.  I have a six bbl hood on it now, but I will be going back to the steel hood someday.  The white looks so nice and clean.  Especially with nice clean chrome.

I like the non vinyl top, especially if it won't be resting inside a garage all the time.

I also prefer the mirrors and bumpers to be body color.

My two cents any way, you asked.

I'm a lazy azz mofo fer sure - I took it all out as one, now I'm gonna run it up on the engine stand, then put it back in - I want to minimize time spent leaning over the fenders!

Thanks for all the input - now I'm no closer to a decision!!!

To me triple white is almost as sexy as triple black. I love the super sano look of a white top and interior. Dress that beast out with all the chrome goodies and you will have yourself a looker. I like painted mirrors too though so  :dunno:  I think it will look great. Looking good man!!!!!!!!!!
