How did you go about polishing up the metal components like the steering wheel, door handles, etc?

did you have to grind off the mounts for the vinyl roof trim? What did you use if you dont mind me asking, Im going to be doing the same thing

Thanks - it's nice to be nearly done...but there's always little things to do (seat belts need to be affixed into headliner, coat hooks, Right mirror....)

The steering wheel resto is shown further back: 400wet, then 600, 1000, then polished it by hand. Door handles where just steel-wooled, then polished by hand.

I ground off some and welded up some clip holes.

Ya, know, when I first put it on, I thought it was kinda grey looking. There was another DODGE white that was brighter, but I stuck with the stock mix....then I was like: Oh, red would've been cool....but in the end, it's awesome. There's not many, it has the Vanishing Point cool factor and people love it. I was at a MOPE show and it was the only white Rallye - it's really eye-catching. Here's the pics of after a long shakedown drive, with it's stable-mates...

I made the mistake thinking the front panel and mouldings where supposed to be black (as I got it), but they should be white (car coloured). So I'll correct that this winter. Then I may do the hood stripe/black-out treatment. That' about it.

That's a tough call as I think it looks great right now. Great work and thanks for the thread. It's stable-mates are pretty sweet too.

Had it out a few times for some late summer cruising. Other than a vapour lock, she runs great, smooth and fast (for a 318 with manifolds!). I'll be taking it out for a few more rides before October comes - hopefully!! Can't let a sunny day go by withjout - yesterday I did jsut that and today it rained all day.
Get out and enjoy them!
