jack assembly paint

Hey CC member just finished my 4spd pedal and now I want to do the jack assembly and was hoping someone would be able to tell me who supplies the proper colour grey for the mechanism and the hook and base plate for a 70 barracuda. thru some before and after pics of the pedals.Thanks Rob

Who did your pedals?

I had SMS Mopar do my jack for me.

ETA: your pedal assembley looks great from the before and after!  :bigsmile:

It looks like SMS Mopar did a great job on your jack assembly Lunchbox and I'm looking for the same results!! The thing is I like to try doing everything myself this is why I would like to find the proper colour grey paint and who might carry it?? The  pedal assembly was done by me.Thanks  and  :cheers:  Rob

Thanks I have constanly gone between doing it myself and sending it out, its all about time and capability.

I thought that Year one used to sell a Dove Grey paint for jacks  :clueless:

I don't have a picture of my jack but I used Krylon Classic gray part number 3551 and it looks to be a near pefect match for the color and was cheap from wal-mart.

So Dove Grey is the proper name for the colour of the jack assembly ? hopefully someone here might know where and who might supply this paint if I can't find it maybe I'll go which SMS or go the cheep way which is more in my budget !! Thanks Lunch and 71340RT for the info!!! Rob   :cheers:

I recall a post about a year or so ago that Kyrlon Dove Gray was dead on color for MOPAR Jack Assemblies and have been looking for it ever since.   I've checked out about a dozen large and small hardware stores throughout Vermont and not a can to be found.   In some cases, the label is still on the self.    According to the clerk at my local Ace store -- it has been discontinued and there is no replacement number for it...    >:(
