Installing seat upholstery
« on: September 08, 2008 - 09:24:59 PM »
I remember seeing a posting here someone put up that had great step-by-step instructions with pics of installing new upholstery. Can some one lead me to it?

I copied the file, but there's no writing anymore. Sending it to you and it might be too friggin huge to do it.

One thing you need to buy is the hog ring pliers and the rings.  I bought them at a local hide and leather shop.  The back seat is easy but the front buckets can be difficult.  I haven't seen a post or DIY instructions for this in a long time unfortunately.

Try http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://ridesthatrock.com/

Unfortunately it looks like almost none of the pictures were archived, so all thats left is text descriptions.  I only checked a couple of the dates, though.

Well, got the upper and lower all done and looks mighty fine if I do say so myself. The wife and son even got in there and clamped a couple hog rings. Ended up with a minor rip in the corner of the upper that might even had already been there when I started but it's so far hidden it will never be seen.
