Hey I have a question for the experts. Could you get a shaker hood on a A66 Challenger?

This is hard to read, but is says "they will be available at a later date" on the 340 Challengers.

I dunno if this means anything but I remember seeing an old Mopar Collector's guide or something like that that had a '71 340 car that had a shaker from the factory.  I know, different year could make a diference but just thought I would mention it....  :)

I do not have any A66 N96 cars listed in the Registry (yet) if that helps any?

Of course if anyone owns one I would love to hear from them.....

1971 Challenger 340 N96 cars are known though.

I've seen a couple of 71 N96 340 cars before. I know my A66 car came from LA, not sure what percentage came from each plant.

A66  I love the A66ade

1971 there wouldn't have been a A66 because they let the 340 become a R/T that year, right  :clueless:

Im not trying to stir the pot, but I thought there was a member here who owned a 340 factory challenger non R/T with a shaker?  If my memory serves me right its a yellow car?   :stirpot:

You might be referring to my old car I bought in 96.   It was a numbers/buildsheet non R/T n96 car.   I don't remember the exact numbers, but I am pretty sure they made about as many non r/t shaker 71 340 Challengers as they did r/t's believe it or not.   Seems like about mid 30s for each.

This is my old car, the same one I posted a passenger side picture of above.   100 percent positive.   It was featured in a couple magazines back then.   Ken Mosier owned it at the time.   The owner after him removed the r/t stripes/scoops and had the bumpers rechromed.

I said the pics were 14 years old but that was more like sept. '90, 18 years.

It looks just as good without the stripes/scoops/bumpers/wheels as it does with them.

I cant wait, it also looks great!
