I see the Bulge on Ken's fenders.

Bullit, can you draw us a diagram of what you are saying. I think that you are saying flat to the door from the middle of the wheel openning, right?

Ken, can you lay a yardstick on your door to fender and tell us what you find?

I don't have a yard stick so this is all I could come up with. I layed it on the center of the wheel well opening and it didn't touch on the ends.

I just looked at my 70 barracuda fenders installed on my car. The right one was replaced the left is original to my car.

The left fender has a bulge like yours and the right lip is flat :clueless:

Personally, any difference if any don't seem to justify this being a Big Money part compared to others in same condition....  :dunno:

At least we have a SWEET original to compare it to. RARE T/A, have any buddies with a regular fender we could compare to??  :thinkerg:

I just got home from a Car show and cruise today. I pointed this bulge out to Jeff (71340Rt) and showed him , on his car, how one of his fenders had the bulge and the other one didn't. He said one of his fenders had been replaced. He took some good pics of his bulge fender and my non-bulge fender, showing the difference. When he uploads them, you'll see the big difference in the fenders.

The big money part comes when these guys that have to have NOS, buy NOS. The AMD and Goodmarks, don't seem to have the bulge, but I haven't seen any up close yet.

Here are the pictures of mine and some others I took at the car show Rob and i were at last Saturday. My fenders are the 1st 2 pictures and the others are some I took of the other Challengers at the show. The green 70 Challenger had the buldge on the drivers side where my buldge is on the passenger side fender. I can see it very clearly on my fender and the green 70 Challenger's fender. The purple 71 Challenger has the buldge on both fenders as shown in the pictures. My passenger side fender was replaced when I restored the car in 1991 with one off a 1970 Challenger.

Here is a picture with a line drawn to it and I circled it I hope. The buldge is noticable right along the style line looking down the side of the challenger.
