As if a clapped out looking pile like that challenger sitting in a field would have a motor with nice paint like that    :eek4:

I like the lame attempt to photoshop some rust onto the fenderwells while the master cylinder and brakes lines look brand new  :smilielol:

Shame on you E-body guys. A new member has reached out to us and offered a one of one 440 hemi and you all ridicule him so now someguy from autozone has it. He will put it in a Camaro or firebird and with all it's powerbands blow our doors off. Shame on you-no wonder our membership is down   :pullinghair:

LOL Nice. And you could of found better photos to start with. Maybe a surivor not a restored car. Many things give that away. Nice master cyl, brake lines and much much more. LOL What a joke.

Now the questions, is it a joke or someone trying to stir us up. :screwy:

Well, at least he/she knows what a Hemi is. Which is somewhat surprising since there was a post about his/her "camero" and then firebird pictures were posted.

Remember that the world is full of all sorts of mis-conceptions about mopars. A lot of unknowing individuals know the Hemi was the baddest mopar engine. They also assume that the baddest engine would have the biggest displacement, 440. Since three two barrel carbs were available across the GM line of products as well, there is also the assumption that it is one of the baddest of all induction systems. Put them together and you end up with conversations like this. Could be this is some young kid who honestly doesn't know any better.

Of course the alternative is simply some wanker yanking our collective chains. Come on, if someone offered a million bucks for a run of the mill fire chicken and you didn't sell it, I think it is safe to say some one's head is residing in a warm and dark orifice.

Nah. if it were they wouldn't post photos that were clearly photoshopped. I would love to give them the benefit of the doubt but in this case it doesn't add up.

A Friendly Reminder from Bella Beeze

As I mentioned in my for sale thread. I think perhaps this forum has a problem with newcomers --
whether they are legit or not --as well as how perhps newcomers are treated on this forum.
It works both ways. Whether or not this person is legit or not necessarily the whole issue here,
as it is beyond this forum's control if someone WANTS to pretend to be someone or have
something.

It is however, within this forum's control and realm to put in place measures and checks
and balances to prevent someone from pretending to be someone or have something. But
it is up to this forum and its members to come up with a solution, if they want. And if they
do not want to then things will continue along the same lines. If that is Ok and acceptable.
I am not saying one way or the other on this because I do not really know and do not
know what has happened to others in the past. I just know my experience.

And I look at my experience as being VETTED!! For me, I could handle it and had no problems
with it because I was legit and I am a very strong personality. But not everyone is.

Such threads can be entertaining and amusing that is undeniable, but they can also be
hurtful to some, a missed opportunity to others, or a revelation that you really do not want to
part with the car and infact keeping it (which was my conclusion to not wanting to accept offers
or even show the car).

I also realize that not everyone who comes on here as a newbie is legit, but I am sure many are as well
-- just as I was definitely legit.

I know you do not want to discourage newbies coming on here and listing their car for sale by charging for the
service, but what is wrong with having that person who wants to list their car -- to take that car to a well known
respected member of this forum in their area to have it checked out or have a well known respected member
of this forum go and check out this car. With so many members out there all across North America and the world.
If there is a suspicious car for sale. Just get someone out there to take a look. Yes it is an effort but an effort well
worth it. Or maybe there is some other solution and I am sure there is. It just takes some effort.

Anyway, I just had to have my little say on this, again.
