I had been looking for this car for about a year now.A guy I know had said he knew of a super bee hiding in a barn but wouldn't give anymore details(I wonder why )So I had to go to town in my work truck yesterday and as I was heading back to the shop,I spot this dust covered Bee on a flatbed heading in the other direction.I wanted to turn around and chase it down, and like a dumba22 I didn't catch the name on the truck. But remembered seeing another guy I work with about 10 cars ahead of the flatbed. We carry 2 ways and I called him and asked if he would get me the name off of the truck. He did one better,he pulled over and tailed the truck back to where it was going.I called the owner of the shop(another guy I know). The owner was totally blown away that I had found out about the car that fast(hadn't even unloaded it yet)But told me I could come over and check it out if I wanted.I was kinda bummed when I got there and they had hosed it off already(had 30 years of dust on it)It has 9030 miles showing on the odometer.

That's so cool!  :droolingbounce:

I've been paying more attention to older cars around town as I drive around.  I live in an older neighborhood and there are lots of people who've lived in their homes for 40 years, with the attendant old cars in driveways, tucked into garages and shoved into back yards.  I've been thinking I should start carrying my camera, so I can snap some shots when I cruise past.  Maybe start a new thread - "Carz in the 'Hood."  :roflsmiley:

Very cool, clown!

I love barn finds!

Not quite a barn find and not a Mopar but I was in watertown square, MA pumping gas and saw an open car carrier, like the kind that delivers cars to dealerships.  Just checking out the cars...a white grand prix... and older caravan....a late 60's Mustang???  I instantly recognized the wide rear taillamps and center exit exhaust as a Shelby Mustang.  It looked like it had the original paint, a semi shiny medium Acapoco Blue with a 6-7" tall side stripe that led to the nose where I saw it said GT 500.  I then saw a 428 badge on the side.  The cool thing is that it had those old 70's sidepipes with light surface rust and a white center stripe that looked custom and primer on the passenger's side door.  It looked like someone pulled it out of a very long storage.  It looked like a '69 Shelby GT500 with a 428.  It really made my day to see that!

Looked similar to this car.

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.
