Got bored on this rainy day -how I did it
« on: September 14, 2008 - 10:54:27 PM »
I tried a little experiment, seeing my cleaning took most of the lettering off. I think it turned out ok.  Here's a shot of before and after...

Maybe the answer is obvious, but here's my question anyway....what product did you use for the white letters?

ok now here it is... I could never tell if those letters were silver or white (BIGS you ol' blind .....) But I'm sure I could change it. WARNING you need a steady hand to do this.... This is like using a rubber stamp but in reverse.  You have to use just a little at a time. I thnk I had more on MY nails than I did on the car!  Wife thinks it wont come off next time I clean.

I used a paint stick from a hobby shop, much easier to control.

Bigs you did well, did the misses ask for you to do her nails? :D

I've used the hobby pens but actually this idea does have uses for me on coloring other parts.

Thanks guys .... ya I did deserve a little ribbing on this one. But I was trying to figure something that wouldn't wipe off next time I cleaned the dash. I coudn't belive the old stuff - one wipe with a rag and some VERY MILD cleaner and my lettering was gone! The wife says that should stay,  so there it is.  :grinyes:

BTW... that's not one of her colors, but she did go to Walgreens with me for this one.   :ylsuper:
I'm actually surprised I didn't get any flack about the name!!  :naughty:  But then NIKKI can be naughty at times!  :smilielol:
