Slotts has no power, No electricity

While talking to Jim last night the power went out at his home. He also said he didnt have any today. I know it was muggy and hot on him.

Jim, wishing you good luck on getting your power turned back on.    Hope the winds have died down by now

Power was just restored about an hour ago. Trees are down everywhere. The highest wind gust here hit 81 mph.

I'm sure nothing like what the folks in Texas went through.

You're right Mike, missed the game and didn't hear the score until this morning.

Just north of Dayton Ohio.  There's about 200,00 without power in the immediate area.  2 million statewide.

The report we just received from American Electric Power (my employer) this morning said that over half-a-million of their customers are without power.  They've doubled their manpower to get things resolved, but they've also mobilized a lot of people in Texas to help out other companies.  They're a little strapped right now but it looks like they're catching up.

Any reports on injuries or deaths?  It doesn't sound like it, although the media is too busy talking about the presidential race to even care.

You know Jim, you hit the mark. I was driving through the hurricane going east. And once I got out of the storm around Alabama/ mississippi state line I saw hundreds of power trucks from many different states headed towards the texas area to help out. I can see how this could hamper the areas up north where they got

I just got power back today about noon. I have a generator though, so really not all that bad. Cable was out to, so I still could'nt search the internet.
