The only poly engine I am aware of is the 318, which was available 1956-66.  It's not a bad little motor for it's time.  My father-in-law has one in his 66 Satellite, and it's enough to scoot it around town pretty well.  I have a 2x4 poly intake if you're interested  .

Just showing my ignorance .  I see now that there were 4 or 5 different versions, including a couple HEMI variants.

Trust me when i tell you this aint no Hemi headed engine............ :grinno:

It is a Poly headed engine....... :grinyes:

All Hemi engines had plug wires through the valve covers and all Poly engines have what is called a "saw tooth" valve cover. :2thumbs:

Looks like Ken is the winner  :walkaway: .  It appears that there was a 325 Red Ram, but the HEMI tag was just kind of added on because the poly engine over time picked up the misnomer of "semi-Hemi" and "small block hemi".  There was also a Red Ram HEMI, but they are not the same.  You learn something new every day.  :2thumbs:

You are a good man to own up and admit defeat :2thumbs: and thanks for the write up of the explanation, it is totally correct.  The Red Ram Hemi was an early Hemi and was physically small in comparison to later Hemi's such as the 331, 354 and 392....... :bananasmi
