I think most of us can say AMEN to this.   :faint:

This is a great time capsule and will be a good project, beware though, did Christine have a sister?

that would be cool, then I can just stand back and say " OK lets see what you can do" and the restoration would do it self.  :clapping:

An easy way to tell a Poly from a Hemi is the rocker shaft. The Polys had single rocker shafts ("SRS") and the hemi had dual shafts ("DRS") The Poly has a Hemi type Intake port and a more Wedge style vertical exhaust. It's the forefather of the Big block Chevy and Cleveland Ford type heads. It was first used in 1955.

Didn't Chrysler call the Red Ram a Hemi regardless of the head design?

I was always under the impression that Hemi was given because of the shape of the combustion chamber, regardless of the valve train design. Is that wrong?

well looks like i wont be getting it now, they told my friend they wanted 500 so I said id give them 1000, now they think it's worth something since I want it so they going to ebay it. I asked what they thought was fair they said maybe 4500 so just for principle I wont be buying it unless it doesnt do anything on e-bay. It is the standard 245 HP 325 c.i. Poly head V/8, with a 2-bbl carb and
single exhaust pipe.  :banghead:

It would be worth a whole lot more if it had a big Hemi motor.  :dunno:

That's too bad.  After it doesn't sell, I would offer them $750, take it or leave it.  I don't see them getting anywhere near $4500 unless they put some of their own money into it and clean it up and get it running.
