darn I just feel off a motor cycle twice 10 minutes ago
« on: September 16, 2008 - 05:40:54 PM »
Hurt my darn wrist and chewed meat off my right knee cap and shin. I gotta fly out of town tomorrow at 6 am. I didnt need this.

I was fixing my little yamaha 90 for my grand kids. It's a small bike, rode it to the mail box , tried to turn around and I felt like a circus clown on one of them tiny mini cycles. When I turned, it threw me down. Hard. Bam!. Of course my hand tried to hold onto the throttle......Yep, you guessed it. Peppered me with rocks too. So I decide to walk beside it into my shop when it was running. I had it idleing in gear so it would just go beside me. Yup, when I turned the handle bars to the left, the throttle takes off again, wide open. Ran the darn thing into my cabinet, then into my rocking chair I bought at the cracker barrell, then it went into my electric wheel chair, and ended up crashing into my shop desk and computer. It threw me all over the place. Lucky for me, my wife wiped all the blood off of me, pulled the loose meat off, then cleaned me up and put gauze pads on me. Hurt my pride as much as my body.

Sore bones and skin tomorrow for sure. And the day was going so good.

Wish I could of taped it. Then everyone could of laughed at me all at once.

I'm sorry but I'm laughing so hard I'm about to cry. Sorry your hurtin but I just visualized a grown man gettin thrown around by a 90 cc pit bike.
I know the layout of your shop too so it's an accurate visualization.

I really hope you heal well and your workload doesn't stress your injuries out too much. Nobody around here wants a hurt Mopar Al.

I am so glad I am not the only one who laughed  :lol2:  But seriously, make sure you do not have a bruised or broken rib or possibly some internal bleeding before taking off somewhere. I think you might want to keep a real close eye on the swelling and go to the ER if it keeps growing. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

I hope you get better and don't take those injuries for granted. That said, I have to admit that me and my wife got a real good laugh at your expense. I was visualizing the whole thing as I read it and could imagine me doing something like that. Thanks for the laugh and get well.

Ah geez Alan. You drive 600 miles through the eye of a hurricane to get home unscafed and then dump it on a mini bike.

Go figure? :dunno:

Hope you're feeling better soon.
