Hello everyone! Sorry I haven't been replying - I just got back from a three-day business trip. It's late so I'm going to bed, but I promise to post some more pics soon! 

As for the options that make it a WSS - it's actually an option code on the fender tag that identifies it as such (code A91). It basically has the same trim as an SE, except without the overhead console, small back window, or SE badges. It also had decals on the rear quarters that read "Western Sport Special". OK, here are a couple more pics. These are from a year ago when I first received the car, so they don't reflect any of the work I've been doing. I'll take some updated ones soon, but in the meantime, these will have to hold you over.

As you can see, it needs a lot of TLC, which I'm now giving to it. When I got it it had the original paint, vinyl top, complete interior, engine/trans, etc., so I guess you could call it a survivor...

It does my heart good to see a Challenger with the flat hood and body side protective mouldings still intact.

Nice WSS! Ignore my question from BIG's bench seat thread. First one I've seen that was Blue/Blue with a bench.

I saw the infamous T/A WSS at a show near Buffalo years ago, but don't recall much about it.

Thank Steve! I don't know about her being "nice" just yet - I've still got a lot of work to do! 

At least she came to me with the original paint & interior, so I know what I'm starting with. I replaced the carpet over the summer and re-dyed the door panels & rear side panels, and no rust or nasty surprises at all under there! The only rust on the whole car is an apple-sized hole in the trunk floor, but compared to some of the cars I see people resurrecting nowadays, I feel lucky!

Hi ,nice WSS,Just seen your pics,i have a sublime wss with white interior bench seat also,good to see another on the forum,not alot left now as were made in limited nos,nice color combo and good to have kept in family,good to see a nice original example cheers Paul

Thanks for the kind words. The production figures I've seen say around 3000 were made, so given the rate of attrition over the last 40 years there can't be very many left now. I know I had never heard of the WSS before seeing this car, and most (non-Challenger) people I've meet have no idea what it is. Before I got the car, others had tried to buy it to hot rod or build an R/T clone, but I like its uniqueness as it is, even if it is only a footnote to the more popular models. If I make any changes to this car they'll be well thought out mechanical or electrical improvements, will be subtle, and reversible.
