Short answer: The block is a 340 (non-TA) and the VIN is for a 1970 Challenger hardtop with a 318 2-bbl, built in Hamtramck, MI. If you want more information, like options on the car you will need to post your fender tag or build sheet.

What is the VIN number on the 340? (lower passenger side of the block, stamped into a pad right above the oil pan rail for most years)

I would say the car is very rare. Maybe even only 1 of 1 built. However at the end of the day it is still a 318 car originally, not that there is anything wrong with that. I think it's really cool especially with that top option, but I'm a sucker for blue with blue interior cars.

:iagree: this would be a stunning car to look at and would be worth while to do back to original, i would change the engine out and fit another, maybe a stroker 318 into a 390 would give the illusion of totally standard but not :naughty: :2thumbs:

Gator Grain Top is way cool
Not many cars came with this option and i personally think it would look stunning on your B5 Blue car :2thumbs:

The roof material Gator Grain has only just been released for sale through Legendary Interiors and is a bit pricey, but it is awesome quality. :jumping:
