Carb. do you see anything wrong ?????

my dad is wondering if anything is wrong with the way we have the springs connected ...

heres a front view



a complete side view without the bottom spring connected



same side view with bottom spring connected



here a closer view spread on 2 pics.



a close front view



does the bottom spring need to be connected ??? is there an error that you see ??? if you see anything wrong or a wanna give us your opinnion let me know all suggestions are welcome

Yeah you should straighten out the Kickdown springs.  They go to the carb stud IIRC, they shouldn't be conected together like that.

You could also hook the kd spring at the end of the lever to the front whre both sets of springs are now.

Someone will have a good pic for you sooner or later.

wow man great advice thanks we are looking into it right now ...

so pretty much the kd could be connected either way, from front to kd or from kd to back ? wont make a difference?

As long as the kd lever is forward against the throttle stud yes.  it needs to move back with the throttle.

Those springs are stretched out too much, you have them on the spark wire loom. The kick down spring goes to the carb to keep it tight, but not restricting the throttle return, in case an accident jams the rod open the carb can still be closed.  see above  picture. That "adjust here" sign is for the up shift adjustment only and should be set to remove all slack only or the up shifts will be too late.

I hook the throttle return spings on the pin between the throttle cable end & hook the kick down on the other side of the pin as the pics show
