You didn't mention what type of head, but these are T/A 340 heads I did a few years ago. They flowed 30% better than a stock W-2 head I also tested on the flow bench on the Intake side. >

They were the old gen W-2's. I don't think any of them flow that great at lower valve lifts and the Commando heads have superior exhaust ports.

I've ported probably 30 pairs of BB mopar heads in the last 20 years. Mostly 906's. This car had closed chamber 915's on a 440 with a mushroom lifter solid cam & single 4 bbl. All steel car except the hood>

No offense, but looking at a port doesnt mean much. A friend of mine says "the last part of any port job is making it look good." I have a set of 346s in the garage that will flow 288cfm @ .550. But they look like crap...lol. (same friend made that comment...lol)

:iagree: I can tell much more just feeling a few things with my fingers. I've seen many bad port jobs, and many more bad valve jobs. A bad valve job will ruin a head, and the things most inexperienced
people do with porting make no difference. You need a flow bench, valve grinding equipment and years of experience to port heads and get a real ET gain from them. It's 25 years of porting heads now for me, and I'm still learning.  :grinyes:

I sat in on a seminar at monster mopar. The guy giving it said the intake manifold should flow 20% more than the heads to reach the heads full potential. He gave several examples about porting intakes and how it could effect volume, velocity and other give and take effects. It finally got a little over my head but my point is the port job will always be limited by the intakes flow.

It can really be depressing when you bolt the intake on the great flowing port you just spent 5 hours porting

Nice work Chrycho.  :2thumbs:
