Was Lemon Twist available for Cudas in 71?
« on: September 22, 2008 - 01:43:22 PM »
I can't identify any color in yellow other than Bahama Yellow for 71.  I think it was available in 70.  Found a 71 Cuda car in what the guy calls Top Banana, but that wasn't available for a Cuda in 71 either.

Top Banana is the same as Lemon Twist, TB is Dodge, LT is Plymouth.   Very few 71 Cudas came FY1, Lemon twist, but they did make them.   Production was low as they were promoting the new for 71 Curious Yellow.

FY1 (Lemon Twist) was not originally part of the 1971 color lineup, but was added back shortly into the model year.

Thanks for the replies.

I went to look at the Top Banana/Lemon Twist #s matching 71 - 340 today, and it was pretty far gone.  Had a fist sized hole in the crowl below the windshield on the drivers side, and everything underneath was in sad shape, with metal actually bubbling off, not just rusting.  I've been told it could be rebuilt by someone I trust, for a sizable amount of money and time, so it was a mess.  Keep on lookin'.

If it is that far gone.....I would pass unless you have $$$$$$$$$ and a lot of time.

Spend your money on something with WAY less rust.
