The 1/8 miles drags are also good. Here is a vid of the Sox and Martin Duster I think against an altered car.

You can do a Google under "Carlisle" and find the web site for Carlisle events. They do not only Mopar events, but Ford and Chevy too. Shows, auctions too. I think it is about a 30 acre site. lots of fun! :woo: I too went for the first time this summer and got to meet the crowd from CC.com. It was a blast. You gotta go at least once if you are a true Mopar addict and you'll get to meet MEK to boot!!! :roflsmiley:

Actually, it's 83 acres.  :2thumbs:

Well then! It is no wonder I get tired walking over the whole show for over three days in a row.  :faint:

The beer was quite easy to carry...............

........compared to the pink Challenger T/A door Tom gave me.

It was also quite refreshing.

Thanks again to both of you.

What a sweet thing to say.

I miss PA for several reasons. Great people, cheap land & great (occasionally free) beer.  :naughty:

Hugs for both of you.

Thanks for all your responses and input. I found the website for Carlisle which
was very informative and well set out to figuring Carlisle out.

Obviously it is an event loved by all, from your enthusastic responses and
an event not to be missed.

It sounds like the smorgasboard of mopars along with great fun and a
nice opportunitiy to meet others.
I am sure I will make it there at least once, in the future.

I have never been to Pennsylvannia or the eastern side of the US and
definitely want an excuse to go there!!

Owning a mopar, we've always wanted to go to Carlisle. This year was our first time. Our #2 son lives in Harrisburg, PA so we planned a trip to visit him and hit up the Carlisle Event. It was great and a bit overwhelming the first time. Plans are to go next year also. :grinyes:

Pennsylvania is a beautiful place, and the perfect place for a show like Carlisle.  As a Harrisburg resident for 3 years now, I've gone the past three years - the last two years with my own 'Cuda to display.

I love Carlisle because - for people like me who have a "non-show" car, I still feel like I fit right in.  Two years ago was the first time I met other club members, and had more fun than I could ever remember.  It's a weekend of CONSTANT laughing, car-talk, muscle-car galore.

And me personally, I'll agree that it's more the comradery than the car-show.  I love cars, sure, but cars are everywhere.  This is a few days of hanging out with the greatest people I've ever met - instant best-friends.  You can't beat that anywhere at any price.

As long as Cuda-Challenger.com reigns surpreme, you can always expect to find me at Carlisle!

Wuh oh...  I don't even remember the Harrisburg news part...  Crap - how many did I have?!?!

I remember something about it...  I was making fun of a report or weather or something...

Yeah - imagine how much fun that dinner would have been if EVERYONE had shown up!

I'm going to contact them in March before we move out to book us for the '09 show.  We just HAVE TO HAVE MORE PEOPLE - I promised them 35+ and 12 showed up!

LET'S HAVE 50 PEOPLE AT CARLISLE 09!!!

Jeff

P.S.  Hey Mike - did you ever find a good home for the Pink Dog House at your place?  My wife said she was driving down the highway and saw a flatbed truck with another one of those miniature pink houses from my mall.  She wanted to take a picture of it and have me post it with a line about "MEK is moving again!" but she didn't want to try working the camera phone while driving!  (probably a good call...)
