it can be done , obviously there is more clearance with the RAlley / bulge hood , I would recommend virtually any other carb over he Demon though , I like the Holley Avenger or Street HP series or the Proform , the Proform seem to work the best & save a few $$ over the similar Holley You sould be able to get both the intake & carb from Summit Jegs or Mancinis for Less as well

Hey,thanks for the quick response, yeah I've got the bulge hood. You dont like the Demon carbs?I don't know the difference I had a chance to get a good deal on one,but I'm open for suggestions. The reason I was thinking Hughes on the intake was  because  I have a set of their stage 2 heads and was looking at thier stage 2 Performer RPM.Just trying to put together a decent combo,oh yeah I'm also using one of their cams and roller rockers.Mabye I should look into a Holley.  :-\

I have the performer with a mighty demon on my 383. I just have to use a drop air filter plate for holley style carbs. I have a flat hood also. I like my mighty demon. If you get a demon let me know

The 750 Vac Demon on my 416 came real close to the same HP a Dominator made on the dyno. It needed some major jet changes, but it's not a bad carb :2thumbs:

well I can tune a Holley / demon style carb no problem but I have run into 4 untuable Demons & when I talked to Summit they had quit selling them dur to warranty issues so I avoid them , I have seen 4-5 that work fine as well so thet are not all bad

They won't even modify them at ProSystems. They prefer Holley cores.  :clueless:
