Date of last 74 Challenger produced???

My 74 challenger vehicle order number starts with 829, but my VIN ends with 1168XX.  Does the 829 suggest built in August??  doesn't sound right.  I must be missing something.

You have to look on your febder tag and look for the date code. 

If you look at the pic below, this car's schedualed build date is 930= Sept 30.he "0" is for the 1970 model year so this would mean that the car had a SBD of 9/30/1969 as the model year run ends in July of that year, but begins August of the previous year.

   If the Scheduled Build Date is 829, then 8/29/1973 is correct.  It's possible that it was built prior to the model year.

My '72 Challenger had a SBD 8/17/1971.

Typically the first week of August was when they started builiding cars for the new model year.

Posted email addresses are picked up on open forums & used to distribute spam mail, it is a fact of life. 

I did get the photos of the broadcast sheet in question, but my eyes are not good enough to read them. A scan would help considerably.
