First impressions...
« on: September 30, 2008 - 09:32:09 PM »
of my first drive in 15 years.

Finally got my cuda done and on the road...it was fricken cool to drive it again.  :bananasmi

I also found out that I have a ton of work left too!

Fine tune the timing and the carb (horrible hesitation)

The trans, well not sure about it yet, with the kickdown hooked up it does not like to work very well.

But all in all it drives nice and straight, stops the same way, the manual brakes will take some getting use to. The ride is a little harsh, maybe new shocks, they are after all 15 years old (front could be older).

Also took my 8 year old daughter for a spin, loaded up the converter (stock) and did a pathetic peel out (see above tunning comments)and she was laughing like, well a little girl, she thought it was really cool, can't wait to show her what it can really do.  :burnout:

I'm sure it was worth the "wait"  :faint:
Must have been a GREAT feeling  :swaying:

The last time I drove my Challenger was 1996 so I know where your coming from, and the pain you felt.
I actually forget what it was like to drive in a Chally  :crying:

 But enough about my sorry@ss.

Congrats!!! I had a very simular expirence a few years ago when I got behind the wheel of a Cuda for the first time in 20 years since my uncle sold his back in 1986. I spent many of hours staring over the bulge hood of his as a kid. It almost brought tears to my eyes the first time I sat behind the wheel of that car a couple years ago and lit the fire that led to me buying my Cuda!! :2thumbs:
