You will have to try and find someone to rebuild the one you have, both my advance mechanism and the solenoid were bad. I looked all over for a replacement with no luck. I imagine if you do find one, someone would want an outrageous amount of money for it.

Let us know if you find someone who sells them or if you find a rebuilder.

That would be it. Would be cool if you could score it for a reasonable price....

I have this vacuum advance unit off my distributer but I don`t think it`s correct for my 70 383 rr.It is a large unit with a solenoid part # 3438262,what is the application and which unit do I need?Anyone have a `70 383 with the original distributer still in it?The distributer # is correct- 3438234 but the vacuum advance unit is the 3438262 number.    :dunno:

Anyone have any pics of these units?I just received the one I bought of e-bay and I think it`s missing the piece where the wiring goes. The ad said it was a good working unit which is obviuosly incoorect as it`s useless without the wiring connections.  :villagers:

Looks like there are 2 spade connectors hanging off the bottom.
