    rear sway bar

    HI. Is the rear sway bar on a 70 cuda bolted or welded to the sub frame.Car never had one, I,m putting one on Thanks. Any pics for locates of brackets.

    Here is an answer I got when I was mounting mine.  Because the origional u bracket that mounts to the frame is tapered, it pretty much locates itself.

    the original used self tapping bolts , you can also bolt right through the frame rail

     :iagree:  I went through the rails, best thing would be to weld bushings through the frame first so as not to crush the frame.

    I was going thru some hardware today and I am pretty sure that this is what the rear sway bar bolts are.
    To my knowledge, the exact reproductions or originals are not available.

    The bolts (8 pcs.) are 5/16 -18 x.70"long Hex washer head screws with paint cutter and CA point.  Silver Zinc finish grade 2 or 5.  The head markings are a 3/4 circle with lines at the 3,6,9 loaction.  The bottom of the hex washer has teeth.

    One on the left is shaped like the letter P.
